Our AEROMAT window ventilator range and AEROTUBE single-room heat recovery systems qualify for the UK government’s new Green Homes Grant.

What is the Green Homes Grant?

Homeowners and landlords in England, Scotland and Wales can apply for a voucher towards the cost of installing energy efficient and low-carbon heating improvements to homes, which could help save up to £600 a year on energy bills.

The government will provide a voucher that covers up to two thirds of the cost of qualifying improvements to your home. The maximum value of the voucher is £5,000. You may be able to receive a higher level of subsidy, covering 100% of the cost of the improvements, if you are a homeowner and either you or a member of your household receives one of the qualifying means-tested benefits. The maximum value of this voucher is £10,000. Landlords cannot apply for the low-income part of the scheme.

Local Authorities will also be making support available for low income households in their local area through the Green Homes Grant: Local Authority Delivery. More information on participating Local Authorities will be made available on GOV.UK in due course.

What improvements can I get?

Green Homes is split into two qualifying criteria, classified as Primary and Secondary measures. Primary measures refer to home insulation and low-carbon heating installation. Secondary measures refer to additional energy saving measures, including improvements to ventilation and heating controls.

If you choose to install at least one of the primary measures, you can use your voucher to help cover the cost of secondary measures. The subsidy for the secondary measure is capped at the value of the subsidy provided for the primary measures.

For example, if you receive £400 for a primary measure such as cavity wall insulation, you will be able to receive a maximum of £400 for a secondary measure such as a single room heat recovery ventilation unit.

SIEGENIA make a range of qualifying secondary measure products, these include window ventilators and single room heat recovery ventilation units,

Be quick though, there’s no time to waste. The scheme runs from 1st September 2020 and improvements must be completed by 31st March 2021.
