32 new apprentices at SIEGENIA at three German locations
Welcome to the young skilled workers
As an important training company, the SIEGENIA GROUP is committed to offering talented junior employees a qualified start in their professional lives. The corporate group is offering attractive professional opportunities to junior employees again in training year 2026: On the 1st of September, 32 new apprentices started their training at three German locations – 18 in Wilnsdorf-Niederdielfen, 5 in Hermeskeil and 9 in Velbert. The family company, which is now managed by the fourth generation, employs approximately 2,800 staff worldwide, including more than 90 apprentices since the beginning of September.
From production and logistics to tool making and design right up to IT and sales, SIEGENIA's training spectrum covers every division of the company. There's a particular emphasis on the technical career profiles. The company is responding here to the continued high demand for professional roles of these types. At the same time, this action ties in with the continuous expansion of crucial skills.
Nina Herter, Manager of Human Resource Development, reports: "Training junior staff of our own is for us both a central building block of a sustainable HR strategy and an investment in the future of our company. We're delighted to welcome the new apprentices to the SIEGENIA GROUP. With our hands-on training, we don't want to impart just in-depth knowledge to them, but also support them personally in their development over the coming years."
Introductions made easy
The first day at SIEGENIA started with a warm welcome. Following this, the new trainees were able to gain a first impression of their new company in the course of a plant tour. Then as part of an icebreaker session, they were able to acquaint themselves with their trainers and inform themselves about the sequence of the months to come. A two-week practice-oriented introductory phase will communicate to them first insights into products and processes. The traditional SIEGENIA trainee seminar is a real highlight. There over three days, the young apprentices will meet the new trainees of the Niederdielfen and Velbert locations. With the seminar, SIEGENIA is pursuing its aim of creating an informative as well as entertaining framework to allow the apprentices to grow together as a team and to enhance their social skills for day-to-day working life.
Wide-ranging education and training
As a producer of solutions for windows, doors and sliding doors as well as ventilation and Smart Home systems, the SIEGENIA GROUP has a broad, diverse training portfolio on hand. The selection options are great, especially for the technical professions, which range from machine and plant operators, technical product designers and industrial mechanics to mechatronics technicians. In the commercial sector, the offering comprises apprenticeships for industrial clerks, warehouse clerks, and IT specialists in digital networking.
