Excellent training results
Three SIEGENIA apprentices honoured at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry top honours
The SIEGENIA GROUP is delighted with the successful completion by its apprentices of their final exams: As part of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry top honours, which took place on November 12th at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf concert house, Nataliia Kuz and Melanie Weskott of the Velbert plant were honoured for their outstanding performances. Melanie Weskott, 41 years old and mother of a daughter, completed her training through evening classes to become an electronics technician for equipment and systems. With an unreserved "Very good" and 94 percent in the final examination she is among the best in her class. "Her example shows that it's always worth one's while to strike new paths and to improve oneself further – irrespective of age", emphasises Nina Herter, Head of Personnel Development and Training at SIEGENIA.
The story of Nataliia Kuz is also impressive. The 23-year-old Ukrainian came to Germany as a refugee and could scarcely speak German to begin with. With diligence and a strong will she learned the ropes step by step: initially as a production worker in the installation accessories department at Velbert and eventually as an apprentice machine and system operator. Her huge commitment was rewarded: She too completed her training with the grade of "Very good" (92 percent).
The two young professionals were accompanied at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry top honours by their central contacts during the training: Nico Kimmeskamp, Technical Training at the Velbert site, Holger Kowalzick, DRIVE Design and Development, Roman Bozek, Segment Manager of OEM Production and Tooling Technology, and Ilja Gerstenberger, Production Learning Facilitator, rejoiced along with them over their successful completion.
Outstanding cross-site achievement
An apprentice of the SIEGENIA Hermeskeil/Reinsfeld site can also be proud of his far above-average completion. The Technical Product Designer Felix Volkmer also received the grade of "Very good" (93%) in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry final examination. His impressive examination results were honoured on November 10th in the course of a festive event at the Theater Trier. He was accompanied by Louisa Petry, Learning Facilitator from the Design and Development Department. Felix Volkmer is building on his training with a dual study programme in Mechanical Engineering at the Trier University of Applied Sciences. Parallel to this he is accruing primary professional skills part time at SIEGENIA as a Technical Product Designer in the Design and Development Department.
"We're proud of these exceptional achievements. That three of our young employees were able to pass the Chamber of Commerce and Industry final examination as one of the best bears witness to the high degree of their motivation and their great satisfaction with the career that they've embraced", emphasises Nina Herter. In her opinion, the high standard of training at SIEGENIA also had a positive impact on the outstanding results.
