18 new apprentices at SIEGENIA in Wilnsdorf

As an important training company in the region, the SIEGENIA GROUP is again proving its commitment to future skilled workers and a qualified profession career in 2020: 18 new apprentices started their professional future at the headquarters of the company in Wilnsdorf on the first of September. The family company, which is now managed by the fourth generation, with its approx. 2,800 employees worldwide, has employed 26 new apprentices this year and currently employs 81 apprentices at three sites in Germany.

The new entrants used the introductory days in Wilnsdorf to get to know their trainers, obtain their first impressions of the company as well as of their future areas of responsibility and to establish contacts with their colleagues. The new apprentices got to know the three sites better in the course of a three-day seminar from 7. to 9. September. SIEGENIA adapted the traditional familiarisation seminar in Bad Marienberg to the current hygiene requirements for this purpose. With the seminar, the company creates an informative as well as entertaining framework to allow the apprentices to grow together as a team and to enhance their social competence for the everyday routine.

Digital training concept in the portfolio

The training portfolio of SIEGENIA is broadly diversified. There is a large selection for the technical professions, for example machine and plant operators, technical product designers or tool mechanics and mechatronic technicians. In the commercial area, the offer ranges from apprenticeships for warehouse specialists to industrial clerks or E-commerce clerks.

With the introduction of digital vocational professions, the producer of solutions for window, door and comfort systems is also expressively up-to-date. Last year SIEGENIA reacted to the rising demands for digitalisation and online trade with the new apprenticeship for E-commerce clerks. The profession of digitalisation management clerk will be included in the apprenticeships from 2021. SIEGENIA is additionally forming a perfect balance between tried and tested and innovative training concepts with measures such as their own laptops for the commercial apprentices or the procurement of a 6-axis robot for the technical training centre.
